Rob Reiner has directed many fantastic actors in his films over the years, however there's 1 functionality that still sticks him out: Jack Nicholson in a couple of Good Men.

On the most recent installment of PeopleTV's Couch Surfing, host Lola Ogunnaike brought up Reiner's 1992 film, where Nicholson plays the arrogant and corrupt Colonel Nathan Jessup. The scene everyone remembers is, clearly, the courtroom climax, in which Tom Cruise's character has Jessup to admit to the crime in the heart of the film. Since Nicholson thunders radically, the camera goes around the courtroom to find reaction shots from Cruise, Demi Moore, and Kevin Bacon, amongst others. Reiner told Nicholson that he could down it when the camera wasn't on him, but the iconic celebrity refused.

"Every single time off camerahe gave the exact same functionality as you're seeing today," Reiner told Ogunnaike since they watched the spectacle. "We did it five, six, seven days, and I kept saying,'Jack, why don't you save a little bit for when we come around?' He explained (impersonating Nicholson),'You do not understand Rob, I really like to act. And I really don't get that much of a chance with great components such as this.' It was exactly the same performance."
